Toot-toot. You hear that? It's me tooting my own horn. And yet I'm still this sometimes shy, humble mama (I know, hard to believe in California), who wants people to like her and find value in what she does.

 

So, what's up with this chick posting accolades on her blog? I'll give you three reasons:

 

1) when I'm up at 2am, sitting in front of the computer with one eye closed and the other twitching, trying to finish a post to entertain or inform my readers - sometimes I need a little motivation. I need to be reminded that someone out there is actually reading what I have to say; that all the effort is more than worth it; that there's a reason why I stay up blogging until my head hits the desk, and drool runs down the keyboard. It's a big blogosphere out there, and it's easy to get lost. 

 

2) if you're a business owner or PR person reading this, and for whatever odd reason you have not yet committed to sponsoring a product review and giveaway on Playground for Parents, then hopefully this will help convince you. The readers and I love innovative, practical, family-friendly products. As you'll see here, I'll make it worth your while to show us what you got.

 

3) whether you're a blogging mom, or a nonblogging mom, perhaps you too will be inspired by the honest and supportive words of those below. Surely if I can do it, so can you. No more excuses, mama. Go get yours.

 

 

In my very first post on Playground for Parents, I mentioned the creation of a "compliments folder."  Sounds funny, but I really do encourage it. Consider this an extension of the compliments folder. ;-)
