In "Small Talk Six," a topic is provided by MomDot, and bloggers respond by posting their list of six words, photos, videos. It gives our fried mommy brains a great opportunity to think about something random, something other than planning playdates and correcting homework we've long forgotten how to do. Today's topic: "6 jobs that you think would be a blast to have.”
Here are my six...
1. A doctor. Well, I'm already a doctor, but shrinks aren't the "real" kind of doctor. I want to save someone from a life-threatening disease, deliver a baby, use jargon that makes me sound brilliant because no one else understands it. Except I don't want any blood or gore to be involved. And I don't want to be on-call.
2. The President's wife. The First Lady. Oh, the things I could see, do, and learn. The people I could help. The clothes I could get. It would be amazing, for about six months. I'd end up wanting to kick anyone's booty who talked bad about my man, Mr. President. Guess I'd be kickin' a lot of booty.
3. An interior designer. I'm passionate about it, but I never pursued it. I have a chair fetish, and I love to decorate. I'd do amazing transformations that would leave my clients breathless. Except country themes. I don't do roosters.
4. Anchorwoman on a major tv network. And not during the 1pm time slot when no one's watching. I want the coveted 6pm chair. I'd be witty and informative and the camera would love me. I wouldn't be at a loss for words or lose my train of thought like I do in regular conversation.
5. An author. Duh, I love to write, hence this blog. I can picture myself in a quaint cottage with a view of the lake, typing away on my laptop computer, sipping on chai latte tea. And my books would be so good, they'd be made into movies that didn't suck.
6. Stylist/Personal Shopper. My exclusive clients wouldn't be indecisive or temperamental. They would just keep quiet and adore my selections. Whatever they really didn't want, I'd get to keep. Obviously, we'd be the same size.
There are several others (party planner, chef, kids fashion designer, international photographer...all with restrictions, of course), but this list only calls for six jobs. Right now, I'll be mom.
Interesting idea...stopping by from SITS to say hello, have a great Sunday!

I could definitely live with being a personal shopper...although those naggy people who just aren't satisfied would drive me to drink, I am certain of it lol

Ahh the fantasy jobs. I know the one I have right now isn't mine ;) But the event planner, etc? I'm right there with you!

My Daughter IS an Event planner.....it's not all fantasy & fun, believe me! You have to deal w/a LOT of picky people (usually ones that have been spoiled their WHOLE LIFE!) who believe that if they are paying you, they OWN you. My Dreeam job? Psychiatrist - I think it would be rewarding, to help someone discover themselves and work their way out of their own "Stuff"!
