Snacks from Revolution Foods! Back to School Extravaganza!

Snacks for lunchtime. Snacks for after school. Snacks for weekends, for car rides, and yes, occasionally taking our own snacks to the movies instead of buying the $10 buttered popcorn. It feels like we're spending 50% of our job as moms just preparing snacks for these critters. Trying to have a variety, and finding snacks that are tasty and healthy simply add to the challenge. Fortunately for us, there's a new revolution of nutritious snack foods for kids.

Introducing: Revolution Foods. Imagine that, snack foods marketed and made for kids with no transfats, no high fructose corn syrup, and no artificial ingredients. The last thing we want is little Johnny hyped up on sugar when he returns from recess. Give him food that his brain, and his teacher, will appreciate.

Revolution Foods sent us samples of their Jammy Sammy and Mashups, and they made the grade for both me and my kids. The Jammy Sammy sandwich bars come in a variety of flavors. We taste-tested the pb and strawberry, and the pb and grape. They're 100% whole grain and wheat free, filled with organic fruit spread. "Our Jammy Sammy is a snack size twist on a lunchbox favorite. Each yummy bar is made with nourishing ingredients that help kids have more sustained energy throughout the day. And each one is individually wrapped and ready to go – perfect for when you’ve gotta jam."

We also taste-tested the strawberry banana, and tropical Mashups. It's like apple-sauce in a tube. Light, fresh-tasting, not too sweet or too tart. And much more fun to eat out of the little squeeze bottle. These tasty treats are 100% organic with no added sugar, and come with a kid-safe resealable cap. "We’ve taken real organic fruit and made purees that can be eaten right out of the pack. We like to think of them as an easy squeezy way to eat fruit!"
