In "Small Talk Six," a topic is provided by MomDot, and bloggers respond by posting their list of six words, photos, videos. It gives our fried mommy brains a great opportunity to think about something random, something other than planning playdates and correcting homework we've long forgotten how to do. Today's topic: "6 things you think would be great about being a rockstar (or just famous in general).”
Here are my six...
1. I wouldn't have to wait in-line. I dated a famous athlete once. It was a long time ago, and now I'm mature enough to be embarrassed. But, I have a great memory of not having to wait two hours for a table at Cheesecake Factory on a busy Saturday night. Can you imagine this kind of power at Walmart, or Toys R Us right before Christmas?!
2. I'd finally be able to meet Oprah. I'd sing on her show and make Oprah cry. She would tell her viewing audience that she LOVES my music, and (as with everyone endorsed by Oprah)I would subsequently sell a gazillion cd's around the world. Oh, and Dr. Oz would love my music too.
3. I'd be sent the most fashionable clothes and accessories by the most talented designers. And hopefully I'd have somewhere other than playgroup to wear them to. My wardrobe would no longer be dominated by Macy's and Target.
4. The swag. Truly. Free stuff is the best stuff. By the way, why is it that the richest people seem to get the most things for free?
5. I've always wished I could sing. I know its cliche, but I have imagined myself with mic in hand, eyes closed, arm raised, face scrunched, sending shivers down people's spines. And in the fantasy, I'm also really coordinated in my music videos, keeping up with my hip background dancers. It'd also be nice to sing my baby a lullaby without making her cry.
6. I'd have a team. You know where this is going, right? Chef, stylist, driver, housekeeper, nanny, assistant, trainer...Considering our current unemployment rate, I'd actually be helping the economy while being well taken care of. It's a win-win for me and America.
LOL and I'm right there with ya! And why is it that rich people get free stuff all the time? They should just choose where it goes and put me on the top of the list.

I once did a segment for a local television station. I spoke for 5 minutes on Black Friday last year at Toys R Us. When I finished the manager checked me out at the service desk so I didn't have to wait in the 2 hour line. That *is* serious power - you aren't kidding around!

Great post, I'd like not having to wait in line at Christmas, too. Right now I shop online because I hate to shop in stores & wait in line and listen to everyones "Christmas spirit" during the Holidays. :-)
I also LOVE your reasoning about having a "team", so patriotic... I agree... I think I need a team!!
Happy Wednesday!

Love this! Especially the team and Oprah! Congrats on being the FB today. Yes, I am escaping tradition and commenting on a post from yesterday!

I like your six. I never dated a celeb...nor do I want to. Only one drama queen per household...
