Cool toys made from recycled milk containers. Genius. You get to feel great about the purchase, and your kid gets entertained. Slam dunk for mom. Apparently, milk doesn't just "do a body good." Now milk containers do the environment good.
Introducing: Green Toys. "An awesome line of classic children’s toys constructed from recycled plastic and other environmentally friendly materials. This helps reduce fossil fuel use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the overall health and happiness of the planet...Our toys are truly local creations. Every step in the process, from milk container recycling to toy production to final assembly, occurs in California. Our raw materials and toys aren't shipped from overseas, which saves a lot of energy and reduces greenhouse gasses. It also guarantees your toys won't get seasick before they get to your home! All Green Toys products are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable. So, not only are they earth-friendly and ready for your recycling bin, they are really easy to open for those little fingers just itching to get at the toys!!" Ohhh, that alone is worth the purchase, when Daddy doesn't have to spend an hour with pliers, scissors, box cutter, and jack-hammer, trying to release a toy from its packaging!
Green Toys sent us their Sand Play Set and Recycling Truck. Both are sturdy, well-made, quality products that both Munchkin and my older daughter have enjoyed. Most of all, I love to tell the story of how they are created. It's not everyday that you get to see products made from the milk containers we use each morning.

We didnt plan a vacation this year because my daughter will be starting college in the fall and money is a little tight. I do hope to get to the beach a couple of times before summer is over.

WOW. Of all the things you've ever had, this is by far my favorite. I love the concept behind it, I love the colors, I love the toys. This is just flat out brilliant. I almost can't decide on a favorite, but I think I have to go with the cooking and dining set. Nice!

My plans this summer? Mostly hanging with the wee ones on the rare days I'm not working. Plus BlogHer (yay!) and a week in Florida. Sadly, most days will be watching the rest of my family enjoy the summer while I am off at work!

My plans for the summer are going to make you so jealous! First off we will not be flying on a plane for a week in fabulous Las Vegas. We will not be having a great buffet meal at the Harrah's and we will not be spending thousands of dollars having a great time.
In other words we have no plans I'm sad to say.
