How long did it take you to name your child? Did you start with a book of 20,000 names, and torture your husband by going through each letter of the alphabet, every day of your pregnancy? It took about five months for my husband and I to agree on our first born's name. Oh, wait, we didn't actually agree. He was outvoted. By my mom and me. Yep, that was grandma's first big influence in the lives of her grandchildren. Naming our second child wasn't any easier. According to my husband, I agreed to let him name the second child when I was in the hospital with our first. I have no recollection of that agreement, and I will maintain that position even in the court of law. Besides, how can you hold a woman to such a decision, when she's heavily under the influence of pain killers?!
So, given the time, effort, and disagreements involved in naming our princesses, it makes sense that I want to see those carefully chosen names in every creative way imaginable. I LOVE personalized products - books, toys, jewelry - you name it. But, there's a problem - one of our daughters has a name with a unique spelling, so it's impossible to find ready-made personalized products; and the other issue is that a lot of the personalized products are just plain...cheesy - my kids don't have a use for personalized keychains. I'm not hanging up a license plate on their wall. And those personalized cups are probably not toxin-free...
That's why I am thrilled about the high-quality personalized kid products from Frecklebox. This web based company has some of the most original personalized children's books I have seen, with stunning illustrations, brilliant colors, and engaging pages. The books are available in soft bound or hard bound. Perfect gift to impress both a child and his parents! The "My Name Is" book, above, is my favorite. Simply gorgeous.
Frecklebox also offers personalized coloring books, puzzles, posters, journal books, placemats, stickers, growth charts, and party favors for boys and girls. These items are produced with any name you desire, so it doesn't matter how unique, or uhh unusual, the name is that you gave your offspring. Wow, that means that even some of these celebrities could find the perfect personalized gift for their child too - an adorable personalized poster for Moxie Crimefighter, coming up (and no, I didn't make that up)!
Wanna Buy It? The beautiful personalized books for boys and girls from Frecklebox start at just $19.95. Personalized Coloring Books are just $6.95. Stickers are $3.95. Placemats only $9.95. Personalized Posters come in several sizes from 12x18 to 20x30. Check out their website at www.frecklebox.com to view all the amazing kid products, and see how easy it is to personalize.
Wanna Win It? Frecklebox is giving away a personalized item of YOUR choice, to one lucky winner! That's right, you choose the product - book, coloring book, puzzle, poster, journal book, placemat, stickers, growth chart, or party favor - and personalize it with any lucky child's name!
Win a personalized kid's item of your choice!

Oh my. I'm not sure which one I like the most! I think I would end up going with "When I Grow Up" personalized book or "Goes to the Zoo" as a back up.

The way that we named my daughter is actually a combination of my name and my mom's name. It is very special to all of us and my mom was very honored.

With my son, I had to fight to NOT name him a junior. I'm not sure why, but I really despise "jr". My husband tried to make me feel guilty, but I was not budging. Our 1st daughter has the same initals as him, so our son has my initials :o) corny, but cute! Peyton was the final choice.

When we were expecting our second child, we just knew it was going to be a girl so we only picked out girl names. When our 10 pound boy arrived, we had no names. So we asked him big brother what he would like to name the new baby brother. He was studying about David in the Bible in Sunday School so he said let's name him David. And that's what we did. And to this day he loves the name.
